OrthoGrid Systems, Inc. to highlight new all-digital PhantomMSK™ orthopedic platform at 2018 AAOS meeting in New Orleans, LA

All-new digital enhancement orthopedic technology complements fast-growing HipGrid™ Drone

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, March 5, 2018 – OrthoGrid Systems, Inc., a pioneer in intra-operative alignment technology for orthopedics, today announced that the commercial launch of its new PhantomMSK Orthopedic Platform will formally commence during the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons annual meeting in New Orleans, March 6-10, 2018. The annual AAOS meeting attracts over 11,000 physicians from across the world and the PhantomMSK, along with its predecessor product HipGrid Drone, will be featured at Booth #2971 to bring renewed attention to the risks of fluoroscopic image distortion and the opportunity to address this vexing problem through the use of OrthoGrid’s technologies.

“With our years of experience revealing fluoroscopic distortion to surgeons in thousands of hip replacement procedures, we saw a compelling opportunity to package our know-how and intellectual property into a digital platform that has applications across the entire musculoskeletal spectrum, explained Edouard Saget, CEO of OrthoGrid Systems. “The PhantomMSK System will be an indispensable tool for physicians who value accurate intraoperative visualization and precise anatomical restoration. Our first application for Total Hip Arthroplasty positions OrthoGrid to be a strong player in one of the fastest-growing orthopedic procedures.”

The PhantomMSK is engineered to interface seamlessly with existing hospital equipment and integrate with the Direct Anterior Approach workflow. With its large touchscreen and easy navigation features, the PhantomMSK is designed to require minimal user input and enable procedures to proceed rapidly and with minimal radiation exposure for the physician, staff, and patient. Anterior approach total hip arthroplasty, a surgery performed nearly 125,000 times per year in the USA, is a procedure that is heavily reliant on precise implant component positioning, and the PhantomMSK Hip application is the first of several planned programs on this new platform.

The PhantomGrid MSK Hip will be available for demonstration and for sale in the USA beginning March 1, 2018. To learn more, please visit our website at www.orthogrid.com.
